Last reviewed: 25 October 2026. Wage data is from May 2023, so current pay may be higher.
Titles such as “$20,000 overnight jobs with visa sponsorship in Beaumont, Texas” mix up different things. This guide separates what the data shows from what the adverts claim.
Quick answer
- Local wages are modest. In May 2023 the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported a mean wage of $27.31 an hour ($56,800 a year) across all jobs in the Beaumont-Port Arthur area, $15.64 for security guards, and $14.23 for healthcare support jobs.
- Rent is moderate. Average one-bedroom rent was $890 and two-bedroom $1,177 on 23 October 2026 (Rentometer).
- “Visa sponsorship” for overnight or entry-level jobs is uncommon. Most employers cannot sponsor lower-wage roles, and the main work visas have caps and strict rules.
- If you already have the right to work in the US, you can apply for jobs directly with no sponsorship.
What overnight work looks like
- Warehouse and distribution shifts.
- Security and building monitoring.
- Healthcare support and care home night staff.
- Convenience stores, gas stations and hotels.
Pay and shifts vary by employer. Shift differentials for nights vary by company, so ask the employer to state the rate in writing.
If you need sponsorship
A US employer must be eligible to file for you. H-2B visas for seasonal non-farm work are capped at 66,000 a year, and the first-half cap for fiscal year 2027 had already been reached, according to our earlier research. EB-3 green cards for skilled workers carry long waits. See our guide to U.S. visa sponsorship for the main routes.
Cost of living check
With a one-bedroom around $890, rent at the average would take about half of a $1,780 monthly pre-tax income, which is why many workers share. Compare your offered pay with local rent before you move.
Red flags and scams
- Anyone asking you to pay for a job offer, a visa slot or a “guaranteed” green card.
- Job adverts with very high pay for beginners, or no interview.
- Contact only through WhatsApp, Telegram or a free email address with no company website or address.
- Fake government sites. Official US immigration sites end in .gov. USCIS never asks for payment by gift card or crypto.
If you think you have been targeted, stop paying, keep all messages and receipts, and report it to the Federal Trade Commission or your local police. You can also email us at info@careerjobss.com.
